Robin Ruckhaus

Clinical Intern

Robin is a graduate student pursuing a Master of Science in Clinical Mental Health Counseling at the University of the Southwest. She holds a bachelor’s degree in psychology from Alaska Pacific University. Robin is currently completing her clinical training and working toward becoming a Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC).

For the past ten years, Robin has worked in the outdoor and seasonal workforce as a ski patroller at Winter Park Resort and as a raft guide in Grand Canyon National Park/ Dinosaur National Monument.

Robin is passionate about supporting fellow  first responders and individuals working in seasonal and outdoor industries. She recognizes that these populations often face high levels of stress, trauma exposure, and transition instability. Her goal is to create a space where clients feel understood, respected, and empowered.

Grounded in her active lifestyle, Robin believes in creating a therapeutic environment where clients feel respected, understood, and supported in meaningful change. Her approach is grounded, practical, and informed by the connection between physical and mental health. She has a strong interest in somatic-informed interventions and integrates movement-based and resilience-focused strategies to help clients build self-awareness and sustainable well-being.
